INTUITIVE DOULA TRAININGS
For women who are intuitively gifted and have completed further studies in relevant higher education,
midwifery apprenticeship, and/or healing techniques, Intuitive Doula mentorship and a growing I.D.
community is available. "Further studies" refers to college degrees including Early Childhood
Development, Evolutionary Psychology, Pre & Perinatal Psychology, Feminist Psychology, Divinity,
Marriage & Family Counseling. Formal healing modalities training includes completion of reputable
training and/or apprenticeship programs such as Yoga Alliance teacher training, DONA, Hygieia College,
Massage Therapy, Reiki, Acupuncture, Herbalism, Pastoral Counseling, and Childbirth Education.
Completion of Lotus Fertility Intuitive Doula training work challenges you further as a healer and a
birthworker. This challenge is to fully honor your own inner teacher and understand the sacred
responsibilities of the Intuitive path: to take full responsibility for your vocational gifts, to clarify the
intentions of your heart as a birthworker, and to honor your connection to the lineage of independent,
non-medical, intuitively-gifted Doulas.
Acceptance to training is contingent upon documentation of above-mentioned higher-education and/or
healing modality, plus written application of intention and personal interview. Training incorporates
self-directed (by you) doula development mentorship for a minimum of 4 two-hour sessions (phone or
in-person) over a 9 month period, attendance at one weekend workshop in Austin, attendance of an
APPAH (Assn. for Pre & Perinatal Psychology & Health) conference or a written synopsis from APPAH
conference tapes. Additionally, a minimum of 3 client testimonials (preconception - postpartum) are to be
formally submitted.

COMMUNITY
If you feel you are already an ID, and practicing
independently as such, you are warmly invited to join with
other Intuitive Doulas for community, mutual vocational
development, and co-creative projects.
A yearly retreat is in the planning stages, as well as a
collection of articles to be compiled in a publication.
